INTERREG V-A Romania-Bulgaria Programme
The project tackles the high level of unemployment among people with higher education as a common challenge in the CBC area. Area surveys estimate that only 57% of the university graduates find jobs home but 95% of them have never searched for a job across the Danube due to barriers as: language, unawareness on employment opportunities, not labor market-oriented education.
To impact the whole CBC region, the project invests in web-based provision of comprehensive and official information on social security, employment and tax legislation as well as virtual Entrepreneurship trainings. ‘Career Paths to Youth Labor Mobility’ provides access of 5910 people to 8 joint youth employment initiatives.
All the entrepreneurship trainings involve the topic of ‘Green Entrepreneurship’. The educational program teaches how to make a living while helping to preserve and protect our world. The topics concern issues on effective and earth-friendly manner for business development.
The project concept takes into considerations the Charter and especially Chapter III on Equality. It takes planned measures to involve different ethnicities from the students’ communities in Bulgaria and Romania, based on the principles of non-discrimination and respect.
The consortium, worked on the project, included 5 organizations from Romania and Bulgaria.
