Funding opportunity for women entrepreneurs in the field of green, agro- and climate technologies
It is open. invitation to apply, providing an opportunity for encouraging the participation of women entrepreneurs in the field of green, agricultural and climate technologies. The invitation is part of the project WE-RISE and is aimed at startups led by women who wish to accelerate their development, expand their market presence and receive professional support for growth.
The project WE-RISE is implemented by partner organisations from Portugal, Slovakia, France, Spain and Lithuania. Its main objective is to strengthen the role of women innovators in Europe through financial support, access to expertise, development of entrepreneurial skills and participation in an international network of partners.
Financing
The total budget of the call is 600,000 euros, distributed in two consecutive stages:
Stage 1
- Budget: 100,000 euros
- Maximum assistance: 5,000 euros per enterprise
- They will be supported up to 20 companies
The funds can be used to participate in international events, exhibitions, investor meetings and other activities to increase visibility. Participants will undergo a three-month program of training, personal consultations, thematic discussions and the development of their own Action plan.
Stage 2
- Budget: 500,000 euros
- To 10 businesses will receive up to 50,000 euros each.
Financial support can be used for product development, testing, preparation for entering new markets, marketing, analytics, participation in events and other activities specified in the official guidelines of the initiative.
Who can apply?
The call is intended for women-led startups that:
- meet the European definition of small and medium-sized enterprises;
- are registered in an EU Member State or in a country associated to Horizon Europe;
- work in the field of green, agricultural or climate technologies;
- develop technological solutions with a high degree of scientific novelty;
- were created before January 1, 2025.;
- have a product validated through real-world testing (technology readiness level 6–8),
or have attracted at least 300,000 euros external financing. .
Companies from countries designated as "modest" or "emerging" innovators — including Bulgaria — will receive priority.
