FarmTech Society

The FarmTech Society (FTS) is an international, non-profit trade association that unites and supports the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) sector. The organization works to strengthen the industry by developing and implementing sustainable and future-proof technologies and indoor farming methods that enable the production of nutritious and healthy food with optimized use of resources. The FarmTech Society strives to meet the need to increase production without harming the environment, while contributing to soil restoration and creating new career opportunities and decent wages for agricultural professionals.

As a platform at European and international level, FarmTech Society promotes cooperation between key players in the CEA ecosystem – companies, research organizations, investors and public institutions. The association works actively on topics such as standards and policies for the sector, skills and workforce development, as well as positioning controlled agriculture as a key element in sustainable and crisis-resilient food systems. Through its network of partners and initiatives supported by various European programs, FarmTech Society contributes to the formation of a common framework and a „level playing field“ for the CEA industry.
