Founded in 1939, Latvijas Lauksaimniecibas Universitate (Latvia University of Agriculture) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Jelgava (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Zemgale. This institution also has branch campuses in the following locations: Laidzes pagasts, Limbaþi, and Siguldas novads. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia, Latvijas Lauksaimniecibas Universitate (LLU) is a medium-sized coeducational Latvian higher education institution. Latvijas Lauksaimniecibas universitate offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees, master degrees, and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
